Yeah, I think they’re an inevitable part of international relations (at least, for as long as we still have nations anyway), but one place we can and absolutely should draw the line is when these agencies start doing shit for the benefit of for profit businesses. If the CIA or frankly whoever their foreign equivalents are want to steal a foreign company’s trade secrets and publicize them for everyone to use or use them to develop some new system for a government agency I’m all for it, but if the CIA tries to hand those stolen trade secrets off to Bezos or Zuckerberg or Musk or whoever so that one of those fucks can enrich themselves with it then everyone involved should go to prison.
There is no way we ever won’t have nations before the second coming of Christ.
Eh, corporations are doing their best to eliminate them. Could you imagine being a citizen of Walmart?
That would still be a country to some extent. For example, the East India Company was a thing.
