Perhaps the case made to them wasn’t made in the most appealing way. Voting is actually about appetites, thus winning messages are more apetising.

The idea of winning is always going to be the more appetising idea.
People with no critical thinking skills vote the way they do because of their emotions. And that’s the problem. If more people voted based on logic and reason and the common good, we would never have been in this darkest timeline.
Yep, and I think Trump is particularly good at manipulating the emotions/apetites of his voter base.
