I don’t understand your logic. The article says that Zoomers regret it more, and the reasons are that the Trump policies specially affect them more negatively (in the short term, long term is a disaster for everyone, even non Americans).

The argument of people in the comments is “duh! he told you he was going to do these things that were clearly bad for you right now” and your logic is: “hey, genx white men vote him more! leave britney Zoomers alone!”

    Like, where is the connection?

The zoomers that voted trump (same as the women, immigrants, LGBTQ+, and everyone he hates) are dumb as fuck, and yes, we are not going to say “oh poor baby, the bad man fooled you…” because it was clear as day what the policies were.

This doesn’t mean letting anyone off the hook, anyone tht votes far right (American or not) has my eternal antipathy, because is always a vote for individualism, lack of empathy and the belief of “the law of the jungle”, which is very short sighted due to how macroeconomy works, as we will be all fucked by that logic (other than billionaires)

Because I think the media are going to target Gen-Z, spread the mistruth that they’re hardcore rightwing. Try to manipulate millennials into blaming them - because the owners of the media, and their billionaire friends want generational tension rather than focusing of the rich, and rich, older, white men.

I think this project of thiers is already underway, and th comments show people kinda falling for it… A lot. It’s the classic, use left vs right to protect up (the rich) from down (everyone else).

Essentially I see the article as propaganda aimed at creating and feeding a bias.

Maybe stop creating more generational confrontation and start aiming at the real culprits.

Generational, racial and identity confrontation is something that the right wing uses to divide people in the real actual confrontation that matters: class.

So, in a way, you are falling for it IMHO.

I always find the whole Boomer/GenX/millenial/genz/genalpha conversation quite stupid, but the answer is never to just choose another generation to blame, maybe choose to blame the people that actually voted the pedophile, regardless of the age.

That won’t be hard, since the defining characteristic of millennials is literally blaming everyone.

blaming everyone is the defining characteristics of everyone… you are doing it too.

Please stop falling for the divide and conquer strategies that use generations to divide us.

I’m in between millennials and gen-x and I know marvelous people in all the generations, so please don’t fall for the “my generation is the best, we don’t criticise and are the most empathetic and have the worst conditions and all this is because the generation <add previous generation here> are the worst, also <add next generation here> don’t want to work and are all lazy and have it super easy”

I’ve heard that from ALL the generations, I think it goes back to ancient Greece, is maybe time to break that.
