I have a checkbook; I write one a year for a service that is a pain in the butt about check-by-mail only. While i do use cursive for that, there’s absolutely no reason to.
Check washers didn’t just make slight changes to your checks (000/100) and cash them, they used the right solvents and removed all the ink except for the signature and made them out for as much as they wanted.
Your signature doesn’t even need to be cursive.
I was being silly and sardonic. I still use checks, but I know it is waaaay outside the norm and anachronistic.
