Apple does not preserve privacy, they just collect the data themselves. They are also pushing AI, with their “Apple Intelligence”, so are just as much an offender in that space as anyone.
Also, them “pushing the envelope”, doesn’t really advance much. Nobody can use their phones hardware anyway due to the walled garden and anyone buying Apple products is doing it for the software and statement. People who don’t like their closed ecosystem are not going to buy their phones, even if the devices are 20% faster than the next.
Apple will do anything to line their pockets further, Google just realised they can get away with this too now, the companies were scared before, but now they know customers are just pushovers and will buy up anything. The world is fucked.
