My one grandfather, biggest asshole I personally knew. Managed to live through brain cancer because of spite. Only died once his divorce from my dementia ridden grandmother was finalized. Like not even a week later.
I can’t remember the details but yea he developed brain cancer, managed to beat that. Then a few years later as Grandma’s dementia was getting worse he shacked up with a lady from his church and started the divorce process. By this time she was basically cooked and needed 24/7 support. Most of his money was in offshore accounts, so due that and her being unable to remember anything she got shafted hard. She got enough for her care and each of her kids got a small inheritance once she passed but it was a fraction of the wealth she should of been entitled to.
