The sad part is trans people lost rights in a lot of states. There was a blue wave, but this wasn’t a total win. The billionaire tax measure lost in California and measure 42 which did pass now makes a one time billionaire tax on assets impossible.
I’m glad for the blue wave, but it was fueled mostly by angry people thinking with their wallets, lashing out at the party in power. The Americans who have been selfish and cruel for the last 20 years are still just as heartless as they’ve ever been.
Up here in Washington, we managed to uphold our millionaire tax, but trans girls were barred from sports with cis girls, and schools can no longer withhold health and wellness information from parents (information that would out LGTBQ students to their parents, for example). Interesting to note, however, that while trans girls can’t play with cis girls, trans boys are free to sport it up with cis boys. I long for the day when a trans boy just trounces every cis boy on their team. The fallout from such an event would be legendary.

The other thing is the girls health checks to make sure they are a “born female”.
That was started in Florida by some pedophile doctors. I moved to get away from that shit and now it’s one state above mine
