As a geologist, let me just say that if you are failing to flirt that it’s not your fault. It’s quite normal if you are afraid to reach out first and strike. Slip in a couple of good geology puns and you could easily reverse your failure quite easily. It’s not uncommon to feel like using plate tectonic jokes crosses comedic boundaries and makes you divergent from the rest, but with a geologist your convergent senses of humor could easily transform the entire situation.
