If anything when people make immigration in to a race issue it plays in to the hands of the business lobby / rent seekers / 1%. They are the ones who profit from mass immigration at the expense of the majority of working class people.
Making it a race issue allows the politicians to focus their media talking points on claiming “I’m not a racist” instead of what the reasonable opponents want to discuss.
So we never get a sensible debate about what a sustainable population is, or what a sustainable amount of immigration is, or what effect mass immigration has had on housing demand.
The time for “reasonable opponents” and “sensible debate” is well and truly past. What’s happening in Australia is treason and they ought to bring out the gallows to fix the problem.
