    We are all fucked if the politicians and/or civil service starts using AI for policy creation or implementation.

    The bullshit one of them confidently spewed me the other day about basic Sydney facts was mind-boggling and dangerously wrong. Edit: To be clear, that was an AI I was talking about, but somehow that sentence can be applied to most politicians too.

    The idea of “AI solving” some social crisis is a farce. The problem isn’t that we don’t know what policies will improve the situation. An AI program or a simulation doesn’t have the political power necessary to solve any of these problems.

    The only use for AI I can see is a self propagating worm that will respond to every politician’s attempt to use AI with slapping the everloving shit out of them
