    It’s not meant to be safe, its meant to be cheap.

    From the government lead by an ex-airline executive, who’d have definitely paid his pilots less if he could.

    It’s always “free market” until it’s a labor market… not enough pilots? Pay more. Remember there’s a lead time on getting more into training.
