I have two answers for you.
1: I have acne I’m too old for and gray hairs I’m too young for.
2: I have the depression of a millennial and the uninhibited madness of a zoomer.
Can vaguely remember the Berlin Wall falling. All the adults seemed to think it was really important.
I clearly remember it, I think you might be my little brother’s age.
Maaaaan somebody reminded me this existed last week and I had to bust these out and give em a spin
Real talk, if you have young kids and DosBox or something, soooo many of those old games hold up.
Mine loved the OG Carmen San Diego games, though there were a couple short history lessons to understand some parts. Didn’t quite clue into the ‘use the dossier* to determine matches for warrants without a time penalty’ trick that earned me a pizza party back in the day, lol.
*I don’t remember what it’s called, the file with all of the VILE agents
This was my first console
Pong, right?

That’s a portable CD player with a tape adapter in its headphone jack. The tape is the played by the tape deck of your car stereo. This is for when you didn’t have a brand new car with a CD player in the dash or the trunk, but you still had a portable CD player.
Ahhhh I see now— for a moment for me it looked like one of those AI gen images where it looks like something but the closer you look it isn’t anything— used to have a tape to aux converter in my car for this purpose.
Currently there are about 8.2 billion people on earth. When I was born it was just under 3 billion.
I was at 3.7 billion. I could rant all night, but so many of our problems are from explosive population growth. Humans never developed political and social systems to deal with it, and we sure as hell didn’t evolve for it.
I did my part! No kids.

My schools did active shooter drills when I was in K-12 school in the US
I was there, at Cape Canaveral, in the audience, when Challenger exploded. I had just finished Jr. Space Camp, and decided that if stuff like that was gonna happen while I was around NASA, then maybe I should look for an alternative career path.
I saw Star Wars at the theater in its first run.
Here’s my seat on the bus.

Came home and the family was all excited, asking me about it. 6-yo me, “Meh. It was OK I guess.” Went on to become a fanatic.
Oh man, I was obsessed. They released an LP of the movie, kinda like a modern Graphics Audio production but with the original cast. I played that record hundreds of times. I was six at the time too! Now I need to see if I can’t find anything about that record. I’d forgotten all about it for years.
Found it! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Story_of_Star_Wars

When I learned that MacGyver was American, knowing full well I saw him speak French in every episode, it made me very angry for some reason.
