The only reason to not shoot them down is cos it gives away the behaviour of the defence systems.

Best if we can find some 90s tech to shoot them with to keep putting guessing

It’s the 21rst century, with very mature technology for aircraft to determine their position. It’s not unreasonable to expect the Russians to avoid accidently crossing over into NATO airspace, especially with a war going on nearby. But Putin as he is, and THREE JETS violating the airspace for 12 MINUTES, I don’t think this is an accident at all. The Poles aren’t messing around. After repeated invasions by Russia over the centuries, they’re building the one of the worlds largest armies to stay safe.

“Russia considers that it is already engaged in a confrontation including European nations.” but “If NATO shoots down a Russian plane under the pretext of an alleged violation of its airspace, this will be war,”

Fucking Jokers. I hope Eastern Europe sticks to their guns.

It isn’t an accident. Russia has been violating the airspace of several countries for decades, presumably to test their readiness response. It would be nice if they finally start getting some consequences for it.
