    Reminds me back in college in my History major, in one of my Theory of History classes, the material we were discussing pointed out “there’s no future in History, only the continuum now and the past. As a fragment, not in its totality. To maintain History is not to maintain the past but to understand the continuum as it is now.”

    something like that
