The conservative party of my country just did a relaunch campaign and i kid you not, their “new” motto is “Patria, familia y libertad”. 😂

It’s very funny because the emerging republican-ish libertarian party in México was using that motto and they’re mad as fuck.

its just funny, they’re kinda irrelevant nowadays, in some way it’s great that they’re splitting the far-right.

Yeah. Love to see them crumble.

Idk your thoughts on MORENA, and Sheinbaum, given that they have repeatedly shown and stated, that they are not Socialists. But I think we’re in a good spot for now, given our upstairs neighbors.

I am frankly disappointed in MORENA because they have been completely overwhelmed in the security issue and the party is just straight up corrupt in the regional level, almost undistinguishable than their previous counterparts in some cases it’s the same people that just hopped to the Morena bandwagon, people with the only goal of enrich themselves and their friends at the expense of the region.

Sheinbaum is great imo and as good as a leader a liberal democracy can hope to bring in but theyve proven to be too incompetent in mantaining party discipline.

Fair. And I do believe that the party cohesion is indeed a very weak point, with the admission of questionable and figures is a huge drawback.

But when I hear talk of a revolution, and specially that only violent revolutions have been successful, I don’t know if I feel like that applies to the current state in Mexico. Any reads that you might recommend?

I mean the movement can fall apart any time, this so called 21st century socialism has been a failure everywhere in latin america so far, most recent collapse is Bolivia.
