This allows America to rearm and continue murdering innocent people. America’s military was getting ready to resupply when the rare earth ban came into effect. Why even negotiate with America anymore. They were in a winning position and they just gave it up. China can go without America but America can’t go without China. And they didn’t even remove all of the tarifs just some of them. China could have gotten far more for that deal if they even wanted to make it. It just feels like a big mistake.

Who are you encountering on XHS that is saying China is neoliberal? I don’t mean that as a rhetorical question, I’m seriously asking because I would have thought the platform would be slanted toward a pro-Chinese government narrative (not for any weird reasons, just because it’s a Chinese-centric app for Chinese people living in China and the government is, afaik, popular there).

They’re talking about a Hexbear user with the same name, not somebody from RedNote.

Ohh ok, that makes more sense. I don’t tend to go on hexbear, but I’ve been hearing in passing that it has more anti-China sentiment lately (in the realm of ultra-left if I understand right).

oh… that’s to compensate for the fact they put too much trust in China for liberating them from their US regime - something something revolutionary millenarism .

To be fair, if you read https://hexbear.net/u/xiaohongshu 's take the user is prolly more reasonablely sober to say - yeah, while China had to compromise, US had to compromise as well.

And uh yeah, GlueBear was originally a hexbear.net user - so you can take the user out of hexbear, but you can’t take the hexbear out of the user - and I heard this user can banned there so the user took refuge here.
