Carlos Alberto Manzo Rodríguez, who was under police protection, was shot dead in front of dozens of people

A mayor in Mexico’s western state of Michoacán was shot dead in a plaza in front of dozens of people who had gathered for Day of the Dead festivities, authorities have said.

The mayor of the Uruapan municipality, Carlos Alberto Manzo Rodríguez, was gunned down Saturday night in the town’s historic centre. He was rushed to a hospital where he later died, according to state prosecutor Carlos Torres Piña.

A city council member and a bodyguard were also injured in the assault.

First we should stop allowing gun dealers to traffic guns into México. Mexico literally tried to sue the United States for not doing any oversight on guns being trafficked into Mexico from the United States. Unfortunately, our corrupt ultra right Supreme Court blocked this. It’s almost like the United States created the cartel problem that they are trying to now “fix” mmmmm wonder why because it’s not to help the people or spread freedom. It’s always something sinister.

If you think they are the same, then I can’t help you.

Good job fitting in with everyone else. Mission accomplished.

I believe their argument is that the cartels are harming america and so attacking them is inline with “america first”

With that logic, Mexico, Canada, Greenland and Venezuela all have a right to come into the U.S. and “intervene” this administration because it’s harmful to their countries.

I don’t think MAGA would be too happy about that.

          Any other countries I’m missing?

Well, you’d be wrong about that.

The cartels are harming Mexico, and we should be helping to protect innocent Mexicans because that’s the decent thing to do.

You guys are clearly too far gone and are just trying to fit in with each other. It’s pretty disgusting and sad, but I’m glad I’ve learned not to take you people seriously on anything.

            1. All I hear from the right is how we should take care of America first.
            2. We can’t protect any other country if we can’t protect our own, and clearly this administration has only terrorized its citizens, so we’re pretty damn far off from helping others.
            3. Everything you’ve said here so far is disgusting and sad

USA is explicitly NOT targeting cartels, but civilians, so no they shouldn’t
