A big part of why he won was that he kept focusing on NYC while the interviewers and Cuomo tried to distract audiences with Israel. It was transparent and everyone realized that.

And talked about arresting Benjamin Netanyahu and respecting international law. And being extremely pro Palestine when nobody dared to, gaining him immense popularity and creating many copycats.

Seriously does nobody have a memory span of more than 2 weeks?

Those were things that he did, largely before even the primary, but it was fairly clear that they were not particularly influential in the election. All of the debates show Mamdani relentlessly steering the conversation back to NYC’s cost of living, and that’s what voters say they like about him.

            I agree.

Do people not remember his response to visiting Israel…

            That won him the race.

Now that he won, he started backtracking… like a true politician.

We must always force them to do the bidding of the working class, or else they become the next generation of career politicians like AOCIA, Bernie Sheep Dog Sanders, Drone King Obama, Genocide Joe, and many more.

Not just that, Zohran always went way further, claiming to want to divest from Israel as a city and even arresting Netanyahu. This is not simply “wanting best for NYC”.

What’s funny is that their takewaway of what Zohran campaigned on is the reason right wingers aired him. People like Asmongold praised Zohran for that one interview while not following anything else about Zohran during his campaign.

While hiding under the guise of “best for New Yorkers” Zohran took very agressive stances on Israel. Which ironically Zohran is now backtracking on under the guise of “best for New Yorkers”. As if Hakeem Jeffries is in any way good for New Yorkers.

It’s hillarious dichotomy but the Zohran fans have the same goldfish memory as Trump fans. They love Zohran now but they don’t even remember why and will excuse any criticism of him away with some good old mental gymnastics.

Wow, thanks for going further than what I replied with and expanding on the details with examples.

Props to your well-written and simple-to-understand explanation!

We all learn, question, and analyze information at our own pace, so we must continue calling out politicians and forcing them to do the bidding of the poor and working class so more dissident voices are heard instead of just the status quo.

I was reminded of this quote:

“Don’t be in a hurry to condemn because he doesn’t do what you do or think as you think or as fast. There was a time when you didn’t know what you know today.” – Malcolm X
