I’m well aware that the opposition in Venezuela are fascist freaks but many western leftists still claim that Maduro is an illegitimate president, repeating the US State department line. I’m aware of multiple disparate pieces of evidence that counter thus narrative but I’m not confident enough in my knowledge to be able to effectively hold a back and forth conversation.
For this reason, I wanted to make a thread where everyone who has information on the topic and relating could post resources. Mainly in order to make it easier for myself and other comrades to have an accessible resource to access as we are going to be involved with conversation surrounding the topic right now. Although videos are useful for dispelling many myths at once, having links to more immediately forthright sources would be ideal but seriously link anything.

I’ve seen many claim Maduro has killed opposition with no actual proof, are there any sources they’re even basing this claim on? All I could find were just reference to the 97% approval rate
Claims like these annoy me the most because it’s never substantiated, it’s just endlessly repeated as a cliche.
“They’re baking orange cakes, and sending them with humus” makes about as much sense as any reason you’ve heard that Venezuela is worth invading. Venezuela is sitting on the largest oil reserve in the world, and anything you hear is just used to manufacture consent. There is no point in arguing it.
The fact that the US has already decided who the next “leader” of Venezuela will be renders the whole debate moot. The contenders are claiming upwards of 70 - 80% of votes with no proof.
I think there were reasons why the certification (dont quote me on what it was called exactly) wasn’t normally released after the election (not even nefarious ones), but given the counter claims from his opponents, I think they can be disregarded.
It’s important to be equipped with ways to render liberals completely unable to license their support of empire.

I am angry and sad due to all of US invasion and kidnapping of Maduro. However, at the same time, I am hopeful that a big defeat will occur against the US soon.
What is your opinion on the reaction of the American leftists to the celebration among migrant Venezuelans?
I haven’t seen that reaction yet. Maybe, it is due to my avoidance of Reddit and the fascist shithole Twitter. All I can say is that there is an active CIA operation in every social media and it is targeting every one by showing any content in favor of the invasion including Venezuelan gusanos celebrating. Be careful with this because it doesn’t show the whole picture but skewed to the imperialist interest.
Their kingdom of evil is always fated to fall, but it won’t fall on its own. We will make them fall, the cause is only just.
