It’s entirely unsurprising that pro-imperialist Statesian and European institutions are claiming Venezuela is undemocratic because private capital can’t freely plunder their oil. The democracy in Venezuela is legitimate, and perpetuating the idea that it isn’t is legitimizing the imperialist narrative.
