Of course, we all know the gender binary is a scam invented by bathroom companies to sell twice as many bathrooms, but I think this whole “I don’t wanna pee where a trans person might also be peeing” thing is also a scam… to sell places a ladies’ bathroom, a mens’ bathroom, and a third single stall universal bathroom! See, if you invent another gendered group that people don’t want in the mens’ or the ladies’, then you can sell THREE kinds of bathrooms!
After all, capitalism demands infinite growth, and the bathroom industry has only been able to sell two kinds of bathrooms since it invented the binary gender scam, so they needed to eventually invent new ways to sell more bathrooms!
Okay, bit aside, US bathrooms are insane. You got a foot+ of room at the bottom of the doors, 1/4+" gap between the door and wall, the walls only go up to about 5’10". Then they mount the TP dispenser to the rattly ass metal walls. Who’s the dumb shit who came to with this design?! I don’t want to hear Jenny’s diet of gas station glizzys fucking up her stomach. We also get the standoff of who’s more of a shy pee-er or pooper.
I suspect somehow that shitty design is saving someone money. That’s the only reason that makes sense.

The fix is getting more trans folks into the bathroom fixture design depts in places like Zurn, TOTO, etc.
Either that’ll fix it, or they’ll come up with even more insane ways to sell more kinds of bathrooms.
