Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents ate at a Mexican restaurant in Minnesota on Wednesday, before arresting three of its employees who had just closed up the establishment for the evening.
The arrests happened in Willmar, which is about two hours from Minneapolis, where ICE and Border Patrol have ramped up activities.
The Star Tribune said the immigration status of the arrestees was unclear and added that the Department of Homeland Security did not respond to inquiries seeking information about the arrests.
In December, ICE agents in Brooklyn Park pretended to be customers at a coffee shop and lied to employees by telling them a car had been hit in the parking lot. When the workers went outside, one of them was arrested and whisked away.

This actually works well. Ostracize them from everywhere. Hotels, restaurants, gas stations, everywhere. “Sorry guys, I’m not sure why it won’t accept your credit card/the pump keeps stopping/our reservation list is full/our kitchen is down/etc.”
Don’t even need the excuses. “We reserve the right to refuse service” is enough.
Ostracize any business that does business with them. Go in and waste as much time asking dumb questions as possible without buying anything. Offer to sign up for loyalty programs (fake info of course) and then wander off right before finishing. Keep their employees from doing any useful work for actual paying customers. A boycott is not sufficient.
Buy and return hundreds of low cost items. We SHUT DOWN Lowes and Home Depot by buying out all the impulse buy items, one item per customer, and then immediately returning them. ICE left after a couple days of that, and haven’t returned. The hard workers outside have though.
The returns desk is also where you sign up for their store credit card, isn’t it?
Good point! Will do that the next time they show as well. That means that something like a mere 15-20 people will halt all operations of the store for well over an hour.
Tool and truck rental all involve paperwork that can be abandoned late in the process. I don’t know if they still do free flooring estimates, but it’s worth a look. There are sheds and trailers out front to show interest in and not buy as well.
