I’m so saddened by the fact that I can’t find anyone to organize a mission to combat disinformation, collectively. Our comrades in Venezuela are dealing with so much sanctions and they’re still managing to get by, despite all the struggles, yet we can’t even seem to organize a newspaper of some sort with a distribution network(this is the tricky bit).
There isn’t even a we here. It’s just me by myself. Is this what socialism supposed to be like? A bunch of individuals in poverty sacrificing whatever they have left for the sake of the cause?
FWIW, I think it’s worth something that you’re on here, learning and talking. I don’t have any illusions that the revolution is going to be built and won via some forums, but that doesn’t mean online can’t play a part in building ties and class consciousness. If you want something newspaper-like for where you are locally, maybe consider options that involve blogs, substacks, or the like, and then targeting it toward local searches SEO, with articles that focus on local issues through an ML lens. Unless your area doesn’t tend to have internet or something. I’m suggesting very generally here, as I’m not sure on the logistics of how best to go about it offhand. But I guess what I’m trying get at is, if internet is an option, don’t look past it just because it’s “not real life” and don’t underestimate the power of one person getting something going. We live in a time with a lot of automation, so it’s worth a try seeing if we can expand our capability through it, especially when lacking for immediate numbers. Hope that makes sense.

Atomization is Hell. All community is commodified out of existence and it sucks
