Well, I didn’t downvote it.
Trans people are minorities in the gender topic. Gays and Lesbians are also minorities in the gender topic. It’s all about how some people discriminate against people who have different ideas about gender they like or gender they feel they are than “traditional social norms.”
When one group of minorities in a similar group are discriminated against, it puts cracks in the foundation those people have spent decades strengthening.
The conservatives are trying to drive a wedge into the LGBT. That’s going to cost the L and G their right to marry. Just watch.
i don’t know i agree, gays and lesbians have been fighting for decades, we had gay marriage legalised in 2017 after a decade of clear support (and frustration that gillard didn’t make it happen)
transgenders only went mainstream around the same year when bruce jenner turned into kendel jenner
there are also many in the lgb who don’t see the t as the same as them
gay/lesbian/bisexual is about the sex of the person you’re attracted to, transgenders think they’re someone they’re not, it’s a whole other thing
Im sure far right idiots are going to use the non-acceptance of transgenders to try and roll back gay and lesbian rights but i don’t think the community acceptance is there, most people are ok with the lgb, it’s the t who are they are uncomfortable with

The trouble is that understanding transgender people is harder than understanding sexual desire. A number of structural MRI studies have reported that, on average, certain brain features in transgender people may resemble those of the gender with which they identify more than those of their sex assigned at birth. This suggests that the concept of having the brain of a gender that is not your body is somewhat of a possibility. Of course, These kind of studies are few and far between. But the lack of those studies does not mean there is no evidence to support it.
I find a lot of this comes down to one thing: why the fuck do you care? This is something going on with another person‘s body. I believe that everyone should stay out of it. There is a small group of psychologically damaged people who try to push against anything that is different from them. These people have been very vocal about seducing people to their way of thinking. They are able to even seduce gays and lesbians into thinking that transgender is something they should fight against.
I think in 100 years, society will be looking back on this with as much disgust as we look back on burning witches, and denying same-sex marriage.
So I have another question for you: do you discriminate against transgender people? Discrimination would be voting for something that would deny them rights. Or, do you feel that you can’t discriminate against them because they don’t actually exist? Which is exactly what they used against homosexual people. Calling it a choice.

No? If it was a choice there would be far less gay guys around, many/most would probably just go back to being straight again. We don’t see that happening, gay conversion doesn’t work, therefore it’s obviously not a choice

I don’t know about that, I think we’ve come a long way in 100 years and we’ve broken down the majority of barriers that had been up for the previous 100,000+ years, there’s not a lot left to break down

The genitals going on between the legs of another person have nothing to do with you. If you want a woman sans-penis, just ask if they have a vagina. No biggie. Literally not a problem at all. With that said, I’m a heterosexual man and I’m not really comfortable with penises other than my own. So, I have to confirm that you are indeed a biological female, are interested in penis, and that you’re not going to ask me to have a three way with another man.”
So look what I did there… I tossed in that 3-way thing so it wasn’t going to make her say “you think I had a dick?” It’s just all dicks in general!!
