When are these guys going to understand they are destroying the fediverse, causing all these alt account creations, and don’t understand the difference between when to downvote and when to use their mod powers.
I totally agree with you on this. The amount of people on here who seem to just go to express their hate, far outweighs people who add value to communities. The coolest thing about the fediverse is you can block what you don’t wanna see. But they don’t do that. They just insult and downvote. Then log in with their alts to downvote.
Fediverse is rapidly becoming the angrier, nerdier Reddit. I’ve noticed people legit just starting alts to downvote brigade rather than just ignore. It’s crazy.
I even invited one of the people who does that to my comm to see if he could tell me why he felt the need to do that. And all he did was just log in under his alts to downvote the invite post. But I was really wanting to see what his reasoning was.
I guess sometimes there is no reasoning, they are just depressed hateful people that are annoyed that not everyone is as miserable as they are.
Hopefully the fediverse can pull itself up out of this. But unfortunately, I’m seeing more and more anger and hate, rather than less.
