    On the one hand this song makes me feel like Gotye is just being a whiny immature and entitled man.

    On the other hand I’ve also lost somebeanises that I used to know and it makes me self centredly sad in the same way.

    And that is why I like this song. Its self aware and sympathetic to both beanises, accurately expressing the deep heart rending melancholy of inevitable loss, a core part of both human and beanis experience.

    That’s why I rate it 7/10 one hit wonder slop.
