They had a majority, they could passed a higher minimum wage (at least the 15 people have been protesting for since… 2000? 2010?), universal healthcare, taxes for billionaires, busting up monopolies, and everything else FDR would have agreed with without hesitation. SOMETHING, at least. A few years of this would have been amazing for our consumer economy, consumers are important.
