Paul McCartney’s official Reddit account seems to have been banned. The account, u/paulmccartney, had just dropped a set of photos and videos from the first night of his shows at the Fonda Theatre. It went straight into the r/PaulMcCartney subreddit. Then, not long after, the whole thing disappeared.
reddit says he wasn’t banned but temporarily restricted during a password reset requirement, which showed him as banned due to a reddit bug
that bug has been ongoing since last year, it resulted in a ton of bans. one of my last accounts during the purge has the “password request” the first time he freed up my account from “ban” and then a 2nd time it shadowbanned me. something tells me its somewhat intentional to cull the numbers on reddit.
