    Everyone here seems to ignore the facts that

    • the reason given was “breaks community rules”, but the community doesn’t have rules and
    • it was explicitly a shitpost community.

    Maybe the mod was just accidentally writing “community” instead of “instance”. (I didn’t check what the offending content was.)

      Except it does have rules and lists them in the sidebar, it is not a lawless community and they aren’t trying to make one:

      OP likely broke these rules. Either posting non-shitpost content, like news or politics, or untagged NSFW. We won’t know which one if either of those is the reason the mod banned OP, and I wouldn’t blame that mod for not wanting to respond here since this community tends to have a habit of harassing moderators.

          They’re definitely listed as community rules. Here’s a screenshot of the community page in Lemmy-UI:

          They aren’t exactly the same as lemmy.world Terms of service though it makes sense they would share similarities.
