Russia is much closer to Iran than the US which means it can move troops and equipment into Iran quickly.
Ukraine literally has a land border with the EU, where the US has large equipment stockpiles and perfect logistics. Logistically it is likely much easier for the US to send stuff to Ukraine.
But Russia is much closer to Iran and Trump is losing interest in Europe and Ukraine.
