“Men” is not a race and it’s not even sexist. It was just hyperbole that some people chose to take seriously to be offended. Though there might be some merit to it sounding a bit like victim blaming since it’s advising potential victims to do something that they’re unlikely to do, which could be weaponized to blame them for being a victim later.
