After the April 2026 security update, a growing number of Galaxy S25 and S24 owners are reporting battery drain issues.
This behavior with releasing problematic software updates would be understandable to see in budget models for 100-200 Euros, but in top-tier models?
Yeah nah, I am not finding this acceptable on my Pixel 9 Pro.
Samsung’s update track record speaks for itself. The S25 and S24 are barely three months old and already getting hammered with battery issues post-patch, which is exactly why OneUI bloat continues to be the gift that keeps on giving. The fix will probably arrive six weeks later, packaged with another 500MB of ‘improvements’ that make things worse.
Not that it excuses Samsung, but the S24 series came out in January 2024 and the S25 series in February 2025.
