Three million UK households are being forced to skip meals as consumers resort to drastic measures to deal with rising costs, according to a Which? report published on Thursday.

    37% purchasing more supermarket-branded

    How many were buying supermarket branded stuff already? Always shopped at Aldi since it was an option. I just buy that instead of branded things because I don’t want to pay more for a different label. An oat is an oat, I don’t care who was driving the combine harvester.

    We usually spend up to £15 each a week, so I haven’t really thought much about trying to cut back. Nothing I buy seems to have been impacted by price increases yet. Cheese is the most expensive thing I buy and technically easy to cut out, but I like cheese.
