        I think most women struggle with that sort of double-bind of dating expectations. They’re taught to look petite and gentile and watch their figure, you know. Personally, I view the “whoops I ate your fries anyway” move as a misattempted rebellion at that societal patriarchal mindset (which both women and men can carry). You’re not quite confident enough to go into a date with “I don’t care how I look to my potential match, I’m hungry” (which tbf, most people aren’t), but you will prioritize your own needs at some point over conforming or trying to look perfect.

        I honestly don’t mind it, but the best way to circumvent this is just to get fries for the table. I’ve noticed that tends to put less pressure on the woman during first dates ime lol

        Yeah, when I get a loaded baked potato, I always get her one for herself that she can have 3 bites of. That way she doesn’t eat my leftovers, and she ends up with leftovers that she ends up sharing with me. It’s a win-win.
