    All very strange. Why is this surgeon driving a Lyft to make ends meet? This guy also has a history of removing the wrong organs or parts of organs from patients and has had his license revoked in 3 states. Article states he was not employed by the health services at the time? How the fuck does someone get to operate on someone else without being employed?!

      The article says he is not “directly employed” by the hospital/health system.

      This physician had his own practice and it sounds like they may have had some contract for him to come in, get consults, do surgeries and be reimbursed by insurance.

      Also yes his past history is wild. Unfortunate it took so long to have his license revoked. I wonder if MD boards are like RN boards where theres like only 15 people employed for the whole state. Thats how CA was from my recollection 10 years ago.
