It’s not that I’m particularly afraid of fire, so much as I’m afraid of being thrown out into the night wearing nothing by my skivvies. So I keep a back-pack loaded with: A change of clothes photocopies of all my identification Spare car keys Spare credit/debit card Every person I’ve shared this with says “Hey…it makes sense…but it’s still a little weird.”

I keep a bug-out bag in case of fire.
