Is there a reason you think the death penalty is a deterrent against crime? Or a reason you think Fraud should be punishable by death?
I’m generally against the death penalty on the whole because we don’t have a system that makes absolutely sure without a reasonable doubt that people who are convicted are guilty. And still I would absolutely not consider fraud for the death penalty even if I was for the death penalty on the whole.
I’m for scaling sentencing in situations where someone defrauds others on a mass scale but I don’t understand wanting to kill people to deter crime. We already know that doesn’t work and death row is exhorbitantly expensive.
sorry, it was hyperbolic humor to get to the point that adding all these checks and eroding our rpivacy will do absolutely nothing. i was matching the silliness of the government’s response.
