Now i do not have the best Relation with my Mother of course and i did sometimes wish her not so nice Things back in my Teen years but nonetheless i still do not think shed deserve Dementia/Alzheimers :(
Anyways basically my Mothers Life Style is very much “Normal Woman 50+ Life Style” itd say >.>
She does do Sports a few Times a Month mostly Aqua Gym and walking with the Dogs obviously with my Dad but she forgets A LOT of Stuff
For Example she asks my something at the Beginning of the Day and she asks me this again later in the Day >.>
Or sometimes she asks me Stuff 3 Times in a Row on Different Days Day after Day >.>
I am obviously not an Expert on Dimentia but arent those atleast somewhat eraly Signs? >.>
For Example my Mom is also someone who outside of that usually goes every Weekend drinking a Beer and Partying which is like whatever but now she drinks a Beer usually every Day because “it calms her down” which is from what ive read also not Good :(
Another Issue is also that outside of the Few Times she does Sports and Parties and Walks the Dog and Cleans the House(Dishes that she also watches TV all Day which like im not trying to frame People of course like that >.>
But it just feels something off to me in that COmbo of Drinking Beer all Day and Watching TV all Day that its not get for preventing Dementia or Alzheimers :(
My Mom also used to be a Heavy Smoker but quit like 2 Years AGo iirc >.>

I cared for my mother as she died from Alzheimer’s, I feel your fear, it was one hell of a bad time and now I fear it for myself too.
The symptoms you describe are not in any way slam dunks for the big A, more in the way of ‘senior moments’. The first thing to do is consult a doctor, pay special attention to heart conditions which can present similarly and (as per u/jet) metabolic conditions like diabetes (very low carb / keto can stop that pretty quick if you can stick to it). Blood tests, listen to the doctor.
There’s a world of difference between drinks a beer a day and ‘Drinking Beer all Day’, the latter is obviously a worry and could easily account for the symptoms you describe.

There’s linkage between A and neuroinflammation, plus I actually physically feel better, especially after oxidative stress, so it gets associated with a positive. There are other biochemical aspects as well, glycine / methionine balance among others, but we’re getting into the weeds.

Dementia and Alzheimer’s appear to be highly associated with metabolic dysfunction. I’m willing to wager if you put a cgm (continuous glucose monitor) on your mom you would see she has poor glycemic control right now.
Good news is there are ways to improve brain health: reduce carbs in the diet, use a CGM and play the game of keep the line flat. If those aren’t options you can give your mom exogenous ketones / MCT to take 2-4 times a day in a effort to get energy into the brain.
Why: most people have impaired metabolic health, and have persistently elevated insulin, unfortunately over time this leads to the blood brain barrier rejecting some of the insulin, and the brain slowly over time literally starves of energy. Ketones are the brains default energy source, but their production is suppressed by insulin… introducing ketone (or MCT which gets quickly converted into ketones) will provide energy directly to the brain, for a short while, but early studies indicate they help.

I’ll just say you are young. Just enjoy without overly abusing your body. After 30-35 you can worry about it.
It’s easier to manage if it’s caught early. There’s drugs that can help these days. If you have a genuine fear, you should go with her to a doctor about it.
