How do I block random assholes from calling me?

Google… I don’t know, add them to your contacts and then block them?

How about you can’t call me? How about I just select the name and the option appears for me to block the caller?

A phone is a fucking door to my life. I don’t tolerate Jehovah’s deepshits on Saturday mornings. Why would I allow a rando calling me mid meeting? That’s why I don’t give out my phone. Phone numbers are just even dumber than this. But if anyone who pays Google can just call me, that system is not usable to me.

Sorry Google, One fuck us is one too many for me, I’m out. I’ll be removing that app now. Thanks!

      • Enable USB debugging in developer settings

      • Get adb (platform-tools) here: https://developer.android.com/tools/releases/platform-tools

      • Extract the zip and open a cmd inside the folder

      • Plug in your phone and check if you’re connected by sending adb devices

      • Uninstall any app using adb shell pm uninstall --user 0 com.example.app

      In your case: adb shell pm uninstall --user 0 com.google.android.apps.tachyon

      You could also do it using Termux if you don’t have a desktop on hand

          I think that’s actually how it works on the backend (someonr please correct me if I’m wrong!) but it’s a bit more convenient since I don’t have to plug in to a computer.

      Agreed. I’m just about having it. I get a new phone in the mail this Friday. It was a tough choice… Pixel 10 so I could just jump into a non Google OS or Motorola since they are partnering with non android postmarketos

      So I got another Motorola with Android. I’m going to limp on this hoping for a grapheneos upgrade.

      C’mon Motorola, I bought your phone because you partnered with grapheneos. Give us an update pathway to grapheneos!

        …sorry to tell you, but a current gen Motorola phone probably won’t have a future with grapheneos.

        I don’t know the specifics, but I’m fairly certain there’s some hardware stuff that needs to be done to meet what the Grapheme devs want for security.

        I could be completely wrong, but I suggest you look into it a lot deeper… while the Motorola can be returned if you want GrapheneOS sooner than your next new phone. Although boosting Motorola sales instead of googles is good too.

      Yes, but nah. We are talking different things here

      1. phone numbers -> stupid, anyone can call you.

      2. voice over IP -> Google’s meet was a great idea but now a rando just called me so it means anyone can just call me and I am not able to just block them.

      A good solution is for me to be able to share a link. For family I would always allow the link. For my friends too. But for co-workers I could impose a 8-5 limit. For randos I could block anyone/everyone and only allow the places I want to allow to call me.

      I could make it such that only if you meet me in person you can call me. Everyone else can suck a dick and fuck themselves.
