I kinda figured as much given the subject of the paper and the location of the research but I thought I would give it a read anyways. I believe there is a lot to unlock in the gut-brain relationship but this just seems like junk. I don’t think there’s any “cure” for autism, perhaps a better balance of neurotransmitters helps relieve some problems as I have experimented with.
I worked in science, and in this case, this is looks disingenuous and manipulative.
But sometimes there are honest “mistakes” (just a result of using P values). Sometimes I find a very interesting result that has the potential to change a lot of things, but it fails to be replicated.
Usually they are forgotten. and then there’s the whole Alpha male bullshit we’re still dealing with.
