Then why do so many of my coworkers seem to love using it for the dumbest stuff?
Is it a cognitive dissonance thing like how most people in the US don’t like factory farms, but most people eat meat, dairy, and eggs?
Or is my workplace just statistically more inclined than most?
Because most people are stuck when comes to the ensuring they have a roof and food.
American companies by and large are forcing AI into all aspect of business without any understanding of the AI or the use cases they are trying to apply it too.
Most people are just rolling over and using it because it fulfills one of their KPIs for the quarter.
EDIT: changed wording that came off harsh.
I think you are on the right track with the idea that some work places (and industries) are more prone to use it, but I wonder what subset of the population work in those places/industries.
And I don’t care if farms are factory or not. I think most people could care less. What they want is convenience, environmental protections, regulations etc.
I think the people screaming about factory farms don’t know anything about farming and they think factory farms are forcing regular farmers out of business. What they don’t realize is the vast majority of regular farmers are well off. When you or I file for bankruptcy chances are we lose everything. A farm files for bankruptcy will more often than not continue operating.
Probably both. Also, it is all fun and games as long as the lunch is free (or at least heavily subsidised by venture capital). Let’s see how enthusiastic people will be when it all operates on real costs.
But still trust Trump !
