Granny Dismal doesn’t joke, bartender.
What’s going on here?
- It’s the Changeling’s wedding day! And no, she has not succeeded in coming out as a changeling to her future husband.
- Kayra and Granny Dismal do not normally look like this - they are in disguise as a human family. Hags are not usually welcome in society, but these ones are special to the changeling.
- This episode is a parody of u/bryankellydraws’s excellent “True Tales From the Bar” comics, but it’s still a thing that happened at the wedding.
Love and Hex started out as a joke about my D&D campaign and turned into an ongoing rom-com/horror story. It’s on Webtoon and other platforms. Also r/LoveAndHex. And the first volume of strips is out as a book!

Probably because it’s the easiest way to hide the fact that they’re not actually cutting anything without using a full prosthetic or CGI. There’s already a bunch of folds, so it’s easy to hide the lack of new indents from a cut.
It would also be the natural resting spot for a bloodpack you’re palming to hide while cutting it open. It’s just so hard to ignore how unrealistic a cut choice it is once you notice and think for a second.
