minus-squaremarcos@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up6·edit-22 days agoWhat an absolutely amazing non-sequitur. It’s like there’s no place to logic on that comment! Are you for real trying to argue that people must be subjected to datacenters next to them because “people are hungry in Africa” or something like that?
minus-squarerabber@lemmy.caOPlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1arrow-down10·2 days agoI just find it ironic that the people whining about datacenters, seem to be the people who rely on datacenters the most.
minus-squaremarcos@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up4·2 days agoYou are equating internet infrastructure with the LLM mega-datacenters. You may be a neighbor to a datacenter that runs Netflix and never notice it.

minus-squaremarcos@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up5·2 days agoSo WTF are you using all that dishonest rhetoric for?
minus-squarerabber@lemmy.caOPlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1arrow-down5·edit-22 days agoWhat dishonest rhetoric? I might be the only person in this thread who’s actually been inside a datacenter lol An “LLM datacenter” and “internet infrastructure” are the same fuckin thing. Racks of servers that create heat and suck up power.

minus-squareJaggedRobotPubes@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up2·2 days agoLol so it’s not just a shitpost, it’s more of an account-based thing.
