    lol, that’s terrible

Hey is that river in France still making anyone who swims it extremely ill like that time during the olympics? Also is the Thames as filthy as it was before the lockdown? I ask because curiously when all the British people stayed home apparently it got a little cleaner; I’m sure that doesn’t mean anything

I remember looking up Lugano because I saw some pictures and thought it’s a beautiful place.

Apparently you can’t bathe in Lake Lugano because a lot of the nearby houses flush their toilets straight into the water. Despite efforts to improve sanitation, the lake is estimated to remain severely polluted for decades to come.

That’s what a couple thousand Europeans will do to their vicinity, so imagine if they had a population density like China.

Hey, another cicada. I’ve been a few places where the houses on the shore discharge their sewage directly into the body of water they also draw from. The population density isn’t high enough to stop people from swimming in it but the water from your taps is coming from an intake a few feet from a few sewage pipes.

Somehow, the Europeans would manage to blame the Chinese or somebody besides themselves for the state of their waterways. Russia, maybe? The important thing is that it’s not their own fault.
