yeah, but there is a difference between countries in acronym/initialism pronunciation attitude. i think english speaking countries spell a lot of them out even when they’re perfectly pronouncable. other languages fall more on the “pronounce it as a word if at all possible” end of the spectrum.
It’s only an acronym if you can pronounce it actually. Otherwise it is just an initialism.
