    Its a shame we spend money on that, it tracks with Polands servitude in stuff like CIA torture sites. The logic here is simple tho. If you check Polish treaties before WW2, and their lack of effect while 6 million (~17%) Poles were murdered with near compleat destruction of the country followed by 60 years of de facto occupation there are strong incentives here to sign deals with any devil, if it rises the chances of that not being repeated. Most people didn’t want to believe WW2 would start, no one anticipated how brutal it would be. We see what’s going over the border and get regular threats of nuclear bombs being dropped on us. Having as many other nations involved as directly as possible is one of the better deterrents and chances for support when shit hits the fan.
