The problem isn’t so much the billions of dollars worth of wealth being accumulated by the rich, as if everything would be ok if they were only accumulating tens or hundreds of millions instead. The problem is the focus on wealth accumulation itself. That’s why I don’t think the ultimate goal should be wealth redistribution, but the elimination of the concept of wealth entirely. We shouldn’t focus on how much wealth we accumulate but the quality of life we have.
