minus-squarenednobbins@lemmy.ziplinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up4arrow-down2·22 hours agoThe overall technology of EV is better than ICE but that doesn’t mean every EV is better than every ICE. Cars may be better than horses but no horse ever exploded the way a Ford Pinto would.
minus-squarenullspace@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up5·22 hours agoGiven that there was significant overlap between when cannons were introduced and horses were phased out of general warfare, I have no doubt that many unfortunate horses have in fact exploded.
minus-squareelephantium@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up2·20 hours agoGreat, now I’m thinking about the Trojan horse but with high explosives.
minus-squareCocodapuf@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·17 hours agoYou think no horse ever killed his rider for inexplicable reasons? Living things are unpredictable. I’m not sure that argument holds up.

minus-squareCocodapuf@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1arrow-down1·15 hours agoLol wut? Cars may be better than horses but no horse ever exploded the way a Ford Pinto would. It sounds to me (and to everyone else reading it) like you’re saying that the difference is that “cars can be dangerous in a way that horses can’t”. If that’s not what you mean, then maybe you should change your original statement.
