Are you familiar with political cartoons, and with the idea that an author can use their space to share items that may differ in tone or intent from their typical material?
I’m sorry, but I don’t find any of Pizzacake’s content funny or clever or poignant or having any other value as a political comic strip; or otherwise for that matter. I really don’t get the appeal. Is there something I’m missing? I’m familiar with her work, I’ve been seeing it for years. It just feels like there’s a joke or an angle to it I’m not getting
In this case, I’d say the point is providing a bit of relief to people who feel that the current U.S. president is not a good fit for the role and who are frustrated with the biggest news outlets not shining a light on how absurd he is.
