I started watching the video, but this Spooky guy says that “Bad Empanada made a fantastic video” about the argument, so I’m not interested in whatever he says anymore.
More like the opposite. BadEmpanada is like the opposite of Tucker Carlson. Carlson is a forever reactionary who becomes an anti-imperialist whenever it benefits him. BE is an anti-imperialist who becomes a reactionary whenever someone points out his prejudice.
So two snakes in the grass who opportunistically pine for any scrap of relevancy while failing to maintain a coherent narrative? Just following the money and whatever topic will get them the most clicks?
BE has some really stupid ideas socially, I don’t think you have to love him or his content. But for the “english speaking left who consumes streamer slop” audience he’s still miles better than continuing to watch Hasan or Majority Report, unless you’ve thrown in the towel of international solidarity in favor of the Imperial Socialism these types are pushing.
BE is nowhere near a snake like an actual far-right CIA plant like Tucker Carlson. And what money are you talking about for BE? 😂

My opinion on BE is same as my opinion on Norm Finkelstein and Paul Cockshott: people who have 85% correct stance and 15% reactionary tendencies. Not the same as Carlson, a literal right wing propagandist for western establishments.
You may as well start calling Stalin a snake because homosexuality and abortion got recriminalized under him.
That’s why we have a critical view of BE in this community, unlike someone like Hakim or Revolutionary Th0t or Lady Izdihar.
I mean the Twitter third worldists are just a second layer of this same phenomenon, I wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of DSA types rebrand, but maybe I overestimate its relevance.
